John H. McAdam B.Sc. Geological Engineering ▪ P.Eng. ICD.D
A seasoned executive and business owner, Mr. McAdam a geological engineer with a strong technical background, has 25 years of experience in managing and directing public resource companies and over 30 years of North American and international industry experience. He has been involved in all aspects of founding, financing, structuring, acquiring, divesting and running of resource companies. Mr. McAdam is a founding member of the Tallgrass Energy team.
Mr. McAdam's career began in the late seventies as a contract geologist and geophysicist for junior and major resource companies. In 1980, he worked as investment analyst for Mutual Life of Canada, followed a year later by a position in Corporate Planning at Kidd Creek Mines. By 1982, he had returned to contract engineering, and in 1984, founded his own business.
Mr. McAdam has participated in resource projects throughout Canada as well as in the US, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Peru, and Namibia. He has been involved with oil and gas projects in Alberta and in the US, specifically on the Texas Gulf Coast and in Ohio. He was also involved in negotiations with Chinese oil companies to secure onshore and offshore China licenses and to partner in large Texas Gulf Coast projects. Over the years, he has raised significant capital.
Mr. McAdam graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geological Engineering in 1978. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), Association of Professional Engineers in British Columbia and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has donated generously of his time to youth sports, especially hockey and soccer.
Dean S. Jenkins CET
Dean began his career operating gas wells in North Eastern British Columbia in the late 1980's. In 1992 dean obtained his Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology from The Northern Albert Institute of Technology.
After graduation, Dean became involved in well testing and production optimization and traveled extensively across Alberta gaining exposure to a wide variety of well types and production areas. In 1995 Dean began working for Samson Canada, Ltd. focusing on production optimization. Dean's career advanced continually during his time at Samson as the company grew from 4,500 to 23,000 boed. At the time of the company's sale in 1996, Dean held the position of Production Supervisor, and was responsible for a group of Production Engineering staff in Calgary, as well as for the company's field based Production Operations staff.
Dean then took on the roll of Production Manager at Bountiful Resources, Inc., a small private oil and gas company. Dean Managed Bountiful's production from tie-in thru to sales as the company grew from 400 boed to 1500 boed primarily through drilling. Dean began working for Tallgrass in the fall of 2011.
David J. Martin CMA
An accomplished professional accountant and manager, Mr. Martin has over 25 years of progressive accounting experience within the Oil and Gas industry. Mr. Martin has an impressive track record in leading successful teams, developing innovative processes, and has been a key contributor in bridging the gap between Accounting and Operations departments.
Mr. Martin began his Oil and Gas Accounting career in 1981 with Dome Petroleum as a Production Accountant, where he later moved into the Revenue/Royalties department. He moved on to Canadian Occidental Petroleum as a Senior Accountant until 1988, when he joined Atcor Ltd. as a Supervisor, Production and Revenue Accounting.
Since 2003, Mr. Martin has held various management roles in Accounting; Manager of Operations Accounting at both Canadian Forest Oil Ltd., and Esprit Energy Trust; Manager of Joint Interest Accounting at Pengrowth Energy Corporation and more recently Manager of Budgets and Evaluations. Throughout his career, Mr. Martin has played an important role in the accounting integration of staff and processes as a result of property and corporate acquisitions.
After graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1981 with a Business Administration Diploma in Accounting, he went on to earn his CMA designation in 1983. Mr. Martin is actively involved in local community charitable organizations including acting as a mentor for aspiring CMA candidates.
